On Pinterest I found a great item called the 25 days of Christ. It is a fun set of ornaments you hang on your tree each of the days in December. You also get a booklet that has a story and scripture to go with each ornament. I thought this would be a great way to teach the girls more about the life of Christ and focus on the important things this season. The only drawback was that you had to paint and decorate all the ornaments yourself. I talked mom into also buying a set and with LeeRoy, Emily, Wendy, Lacie, and mom's help we all set to work painting and crafting. It took several hours but thanks to LeeRoy letting me break a previous agreement, we listened to Christmas music while we worked. I love how they turned out and can't wait to use them. I am now officially looking forward to Christmas this year!

Bingham Magazine
I saw a post on Facebook several weeks ago from the Morning News asking people to e-mail them their sledding pictures for a story they were working on. I sent them a couple just for fun and completely forgot about it. Then I got a phone call from my dad telling me that he received the Bingham Magazine in the paper today and was happily surprised to see our family pictures in it. I was pretty excited and the girls said we were famous!

Good Citizen Assembly
Wendy's class presented the new student of the month value during their assemble today. Since Emily now has Friday's off at her new school she was able to come and watch with me. Wendy practiced and practiced her part. I thought she would get nervous but she didn't. She nailed it.

Happy Halloween
Halloween is always so much fun. Our ward decided to do a Trunk-or-Treat this year. We made a "Wheel of Candy" and had all the kids spin it to see how many pieces they would get. The girls loved it. They were able to go trunk to trunk with all their friends and get a ton of candy in a short time. After we left we took them trick or treating to a few different houses around the neighborhood and ended with grandma's house. They got extra good candy there. Then we went home and watched some Halloween shows. It was a busy, but fun evening.

Corn Maze
Tonight was a little cold and windy but it was the last night we would be able to make it to the corn maze so the girls bundled up and headed out. They had a blast and really did get slightly lost a couple of times but managed to hit all the checkpoints and still find the exit. They also enjoyed the mini maze and the slides. They got a little chilled but loved every minute of it!
Wendy's Dance Halloween Party
Wendy cried and cried about starting dance again this season. She said she would much rather stay home and play Minecraft, which is exactly why I really wanted her to go to dance. After all the whining she came out of her first class with the biggest smile on her face. She said she loved it and couldn't wait to go back again. I was so happy for her. Tonight they had a fun little Halloween party during class time and she was able to dance like a bee and "sting people". She makes me laugh!

Team Spirit
Emily's dance team just received an award for Best Team Spirit from the Best of Blackfoot Facebook page. It is really pretty amazing and I have seen so many examples firsthand proving this to be true. So grateful that both of my girls have the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing program that teaches them so many things far beyond dance.
