Emily's Baptism
My oldest daughter was baptized today. Emily was a little nervous but afterward she said it was actually fun. LeeRoy did an amazing job confirming her. We were so thankful for everyone who came to support her. Even our favorite missionaries who were just transferred came from miles away. It was a beautiful day.

Swimming
We took the kids and one of Emily's friends swimming today at the Ross Park Aquatic Center. They had so much fun playing in the water and splashing around. LeeRoy just got back from a long drill weekend in Boise so it was a great way to spend some time together.

Army Achievement Medal
LeeRoy received an Army Achievement Medal over drill weekend. This is his third one. We are so proud of him!

Robisons
Alisha and Travis are pretty sure they will be moving to Washington for a new job soon so they made a surprise visit over the weekend to say goodbye. It was so good to be able to see them again. We always have a great time whenever they come to visit. Their first night here they decided to go to Toy Story 3 at the drive-in and were nice enough to invite Emily to go along. It was her first drive-in and she had such a great time.

The next day Alisha and Lacie came over and we made some watch bands together. It was fun sewing, laughing, and talking. That afternoon we headed to I.F. for some shopping and then went to dinner at the Olive Garden. It was a great weekend and we are really going to miss them when they move.

Wendy in the Paper
Our local newspaper included a business card directory in this morning's edition. As I was glancing through it i noticed Micha Wixom's card with Wendy's picture on it under the photography section. I was so excited to show her that she was in the paper but she got more excited over the cute little duck picture than her own. Crazy kid!

Broncadette Mini-Clinic
The broncadettes are the local dance team for our high school and they recently held a mini-clinic for younger girls. Emily loved being able to go and dance with them. This morning there was even a picture of all the girls in the paper.
I took a picture of my own that I had taken and pasted it over the top of the paper's since it scanned in a little blurry.

William's Lake
Once again we joined forces with the Palmers and rented a cabin on Williams Lake. We spent five glorious days there and had such a wonderful time! We went fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and swimming. We ate a lot of good food but the funnest meal we had was one that LeeRoy planned. He brought us each an M.R.E. and we all had fun preparing and eating them. It was interesting to see what they were like since he eats them at guard all the time. While at the cabin, we also played a ton of games and did a few craft projects with the kids. We had fun spotting different animals in the woods. Emily poured some chipmunk food outside the front door and loved watching them come and eat at different times during the week. I asked Emily and Wendy what they liked best and they agreed on boating. They were both scared at first but once they tried it they couldn't get enough. We took them for rides all over the lake. We had so much fun together and it is so nice when you can come home from a vacation truly relaxed!
There were too many pictures to pick just a few so here is a slideshow of our adventures:

4th of July
This year for the 4th of July we got a hotel room at the Red Lion in Idaho Falls. It was a room that was really high up and it had a huge balcony that faced the fireworks. The Palmer's also had a room so they joined us and we had such a great time.

Unfortunately I have been really sick lately with pneumonia so while the rest of the family had fun this is what I got to do.
Thankfully by the time it got dark I was feeling better. We set out our camping chairs and snuggled under blankets. We were all amazed at how beautiful it was. It was great listening to the patriotic music playing while we watched the fireworks. The kids loved it!

After it was over it was nice just to walk back into our hotel room and go to sleep instead of fighting traffic to get home. In the morning we all met together for the continental breakfast before heading home.

Emily's 8th Birthday Party
Emily was extra excited this year for her birthday because she got to have a party with some of her friends. She has been taking a karate class for the last few months and loves it so much. I wasn't surprised when she told me she wanted a karate party.
My sister Alisha was nice enough to make us some awesome invitations to send out.
When all of her friends arrived, we handed out some karate headbands with their names on them. Emily taught them some punching and kicking moves that she had learned in class. Then, we let them karate chop and break some balsa wood boards. After that, we handed out some punching balloons and let them run around and play. Later, we had a contest to see who could eat Jell-O with chopsticks the fastest. Next, we let them run through an obstacle course; they had a lot of fun!

After playing outside we went inside to have cake and let Emily open her presents.

After presents we went back outside to let the kids smash a pinata. Once it broke open they rushed to collect all the candy. It was a great day! Emily said it was the best party she has ever had!
