She Made the Team!

This week was try-outs for the dance team. Emily tried out last year and didn't make it so she was very determined this year. They had three days to learn a routine and she practiced every moment of the day. One of the older girls that had been on the team before offered to help her each night and that made a huge difference.

We knew the letter informing us whether she made it or not would come this afternoon and I was so sad because LeeRoy and I had to be in meetings all day. Thankfully my mom drove over to our house and checked our mail for us. She texted me that Emily had made it and we decided to keep it a secret. After our meetings were over LeeRoy and I picked up some balloons, streamers, flowers, and a cake. We went home and decorated so when my mom brought Emily over we yelled CONGRATULATIONS as she walked through the door. She was so excited! She worked so hard and we are very proud of her!
