Bronze Star
Today was an awards ceremony for those soldiers who received the Bronze Star Medal for their service during Operation New Dawn 2010-2011. LeeRoy and the other 2 Convoy Commanders received this medal along with his platoon and Company leadership. The award was presented to him by the 3rd Battalion Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Phillip Appleton. The Bronze Star has been the highest precedent medal awarded this deployment for the 3rd Battalion. This is such a big deal and we are so proud!
