Emily's 8th Birthday Party

Emily was extra excited this year for her birthday because she got to have a party with some of her friends. She has been taking a karate class for the last few months and loves it so much. I wasn't surprised when she told me she wanted a karate party.

My sister Alisha was nice enough to make us some awesome invitations to send out.

When all of her friends arrived, we handed out some karate headbands with their names on them. Emily taught them some punching and kicking moves that she had learned in class. Then, we let them karate chop and break some balsa wood boards. After that, we handed out some punching balloons and let them run around and play. Later, we had a contest to see who could eat Jell-O with chopsticks the fastest. Next, we let them run through an obstacle course; they had a lot of fun!

After playing outside we went inside to have cake and let Emily open her presents.

After presents we went back outside to let the kids smash a pinata. Once it broke open they rushed to collect all the candy. It was a great day! Emily said it was the best party she has ever had!
