Emily's 1st Day of School

Emily is so excited for the new school year to start.  She is in 5^th grade now and feels like the big kid on campus.  She is also excited to see all of her friends again that she has missed during the summer.  Last night we were able to attend her school’s Back to School Night.  It was fun to see her class, help her organize her supplies, and meet her teacher.  Wendy and Emily immediately fell in love with the class’s pet turtle. This morning she was full of excitement and when I was hugging her goodbye she showed me how she had put a picture of our family in her backpack so she wouldn’t miss us.  She is one sweet, amazing girl and this school year is going to be great!
