LeeRoy and Emily's Regeneration Party

So, for those of you who are total and complete dorks like my family, the title of this post is indeed a Doctor Who reference.  Emily has been obsessed with that show lately and begged for a Doctor Who party.  I agreed and made some invitations and told her this year I was going to be a crafty mom and make here cake.   I made the cake look crappy on purpose but kept telling her how proud I was of it.  She is so nice she agreed and showered me with praises.  

When she and LeeRoy had finished opening presents it came time for LeeRoy to bring out the cake I had made.  He lit the candles and we all started to sing Happy Birthday, but on his way out of the kitchen he stumbled and dropped the cake on the floor!  Both sets of grandparents screamed and Emily was horrified because I had gone on and on all day about how proud I was of the cake. 

 I told her it would be okay and that I was sure we had something in the kitchen I could throw together.  I then brought out her real birthday cake. The one that I had ordered to be made especially for the party without her knowing.  When she saw it she was so surprised and excited!  

It was a fun party and after it was over Emily and Wendy both told me they were going to drop cakes on the floor for their kids someday! LOL
