6th Grade!

Emily was all ready to go to the 6th grade with all her friends until we heard about the new Idaho Science and Technology Charter school that also offered 6th grade.  We did a lot of research into the two schools and Emily really wanted to attend the Charter school.  I was really surprised since all but one of her friends are going to the the 6th grade school but I agreed to let her try it out for a year.  

We went to registration and she was so excited to be able to decorate her locker and find all her different classes.  Today was her first day of school and she was beyond excited.  Wendy and I were able to take her and help her carry in all her supplies.  It was fun to be able to see her settled and already making friends.  I can't believe she is out of grade school already.  As a mom it's so hard to see her grow up but exciting at the same time to see her grown and expand out of her comfort zone.  When she came home from school she told me it was the best 1st day ever.  I think it is going to be an amazing year!
