Boise Fun with the Robison Family

We wanted to have some fun to start off our week of Spring Break so we packed up the kids and the van and headed to Wendell to spend the weekend with the Robison Family.  We were able to hang out and visit before going to bed Friday night and on Saturday morning we all headed to Boise.  We had so much fun.  We went to a restaurant called the Melting Pot that serves fondue.  We have been wanting to try it for a long time and loved it.  Especially the dessert!  The kids loved dipping all their food and Wendy was so sad because she couldn't take her fondue forks home.

After lunch we headed to the old Idaho State Penitentiary.  They were giving tours and we loved hearing all the stories and walking through all the old buildings.  LeeRoy laughed at how similar prison living was to Army living.  When our tour was almost complete Wendy asked LeeRoy why people had to live there and after he explained it to her she looked so serious and said, "That's why you run and never get caught!" He quickly started from the beginning once again to make sure she received to correct lesson of making good choices instead of not getting caught.  Emily and I laughed so hard!

After the prison we headed to the Boise mall to do some shopping and playing before heading to dinner.  We didn't get back to Alisha's house till late so it was nice to wake up Sunday and be able to relax and visit with them most of the day before heading home.  The girls loved hugging on Peyton but they had an extra great time playing with Makenna.  It was hard to leave but we had so much fun.  It was the perfect way to start off our Vacation!
